During election season, we are constantly questioned and persuaded for who we should choose to run our country. Jill Stein can manage the challenges we face in America.  With the plans that Jill Stein has in store America can get back to being a successful country.  This isn’t necessarily favorable for all citizens of the United States of America. If we had a third party ticket, Jill Stein would be a worthy candidate.

An issue that should be addressed is the right of being equal.  We have worked for many years and succeeded to reach the right we have earned now.  Even though we have gone so far in being equal, we still have the big issues of gay marriage, pro-life, and gender equality.  We all make an effort to create a life in America and some shouldn’t be treated differently due to things they can’t change.  The Declaration of Independence states that everyone deserves to live with the Pursuit of Happiness.  It’s not our duty as citizens to abolish this statement because they are “different” or it’s “wrong” to your beliefs.  Jill Stein believes to put an end to this uneven balance of civil rights.

Another big issue that america is facing is towards the economy.  Jill Stein is very in tune with what is needed for the middle class.  Jill Stein proposes that the best way to stimulate our economy would be by creating jobs. She doesn’t support Romney’s proposal for a 1% tax cut because that would not benefit the middle class. She also suggests cutting military spending which could reduce the national deficit greatly, and bring our troops over seas home.  I believe that this could progress america in the right direction because it focuses on what makes up most of our country, the middle class.

Going along with the economy we face the problem of taxes.  Only 1% of the population is the upper class.  This 1% makes over $500,000 a year which is obviously not as much as what the middle class is lucky enough to have.  The middle class is simply doing everything they can to sustain the life they live.  It’s pretty visible that the 1% of americans should pay a higher tax to level out with the middle class.

These topics, economy, civil rights, and tax reform, are all the main positions of Jill Stein’s platform.  After reading this, its apparent that she knows how to lead America in the right direction.  Jill knows the ways to fix america’s biggest challenges and this is why all third party voters should make the decision to vote Jill Stein.

My favorite Book

My favorite book is Art of Racing in the Rain written by Garth Stein.  I read it because it was assigned as our summer reading book and I ended up really enjoying it.  The entire book is narrated by a dog named Enzo who takes you through his journey of waiting to be reincarnated into a human.  Enzo talks about his life as a puppy and living with his owner Denny and how his life had changed. I thought the way Garth Stein wrote his book was enticing and always made you want to read more.  Not only did I like the writing style, I also enjoyed the lesson I got out of the book.

The book related to me in some ways as well.  I personally am very close with my dog Roxy just like Enzo and Denny were.  I have had Roxy throughout my whole life and we have a very close relationship.  Dogs are known to be "A mans best friend" and thats what Roxy always was for me. Denny and Enzo always went racing and that was what they loved to do together. I would take Roxy to the park by my house and thats what we loved to do.  With obstacles that have gone on in my life I am not able to see Roxy as much as I used to.  It was hard not being able to see her like in the book. Even though I can't see her as much we still go to the park like how Denny and Enzo still went racing.

After reading the book I got a different outlook on the things around me.  It was interesting seeing how Enzo saw the world as a dog.  Enzo saw things in such a different way that most would never even think of.  For being a dog, enzo was wise and looked at bad situations in a beautiful way.  The book taught me that it's important to take charge of your life and that I am an active participant in my future.  Even though our lives get hit with struggles it's up to you to change it and make something of it.  The book was a good motivator for the life I have ahead of me.

Garth Stein wrote his book in a way that made me always want to keep reading.  You begin the book as if it's the end of the book. Enzo was old and it left you wondering how he starts a book with the main character about to die.  Garth then takes you back to when Enzo was a puppy and the things he goes through with his owner as he gets older.  It was a creative way to have the dog narrate the book instead of the human talking about his life with the dog.  I also thought it was creative how he made Enzo believe in reincarnation.  When reaching the end of the book, you find out that Enzo was reincarnated into a race car driver which was a cool twist.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book Art of Racing in the Rain.  It was a book that always kept me entertained.  It taught me things about life and made me think of things that have happened in my own life.  The book was one of the few books that I have actually liked and would recommend to others.  Art of Racing in the Rain is my favorite book and I loved reading it.
